Royals rally for 5-4 win against Angels
It wasn’t quite another walk-off victory. But with Joakim Soria in the bullpen, isn’t taking the lead with two outs in the eighth inning pretty much the same thing? Matt Treanor and Chris Getz delivered two-out RBI singles Saturday afternoon that rallied the Royals to a 5-4 victory over the Los Angeles Angels at Kauffman Stadium.

Tough day: Royals fall to Angels 4-2 in opener
For an instant, just an instant, Alex Gordon believed he’d turned around a tough personal day Thursday and provided the Royals with a comeback victory in their season opener against the Angels. Then the ball sliced foul. Two pitches later, Gordon ended the game by striking out. And the Royals came up 4-2 losers.
